As a reminder to those of you of what is offered on the MHC, the FIU Mobile Health Center will offer for NHELP participants the following:
- Free access to primary care
- Free access to adult immunizations which include- Td, Tdap, Pneumovax, and the flu shot. We presently do not have pediatric vaccines.
- Free access to EKG, spirometry, Pap smear, and general lab testing. We include most commonly needed lab tests for free including CBC, CMP, TSH, Hga1c, UA. Certain specialty tests like a CA-125 level are not included but can be ordered if clinically indicated at a reduced rate for the patient and the patient will need to pay for this test.
We do not have any radiology services available on site but have negotiated reduced rates for our patients and they would need to pay these costs out of pocket.
As a general reminder, these services are for patients enrolled in the FIU College of Medicine NHELP program. There is an application process involved in becoming enrolled in the program.
Please feel free to browse our site for more upcoming events in the NHELP communities.
